Rocky Road Brownies

Submitted by: Tina Adver

I found a recipe from www.foodsfun.com

Then I was intended to prepare this .and decided to prepare it in different way because I feel myself different from others, so why not to try different method. In funny mood I mixed the ingredients and get myself ready for baking. I chose microwave oven instead of heating or gas oven, I placed the pan inside the oven and gave the time 5 minutes for it. What happened guess...? dhzan dhazn happened in it ..hahaha. Taste got strange. I took lesson not to be over smart only. We must use the method explained by the cooking experts. I learned this recipe from http://www.foodsfun.com/recp.aspx?id=265 it really have mouth watering pictures of food and gives good description.

1-1/4 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup HERSHEY'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips
1/2 cup chopped nuts
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/3 cup HERSHEY'S Cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

How to Prepare:

1.  Heat oven to 350°F. Grease 9-inch square baking pan.

2. Stir together chocolate chips, marshmallows and nuts; set aside. Place butter in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH (100%) 1 to 1-1/2 minutes or until melted. Add sugar, vanilla and eggs; beat with spoon until well blended. Add flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; stir until well blended. Spread batter into prepared pan.

3. Bake 22 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chip mixture over top. Continue baking 5 minutes or until marshmallows have softened and puffed slightly. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Using wet knife, cut into squares. About 20 brownies.
