Baking Recipe Scrapbooking IdeasA Thank You Gift I started a baking recipe scrapbook for my grandmother as a "thank you" gift for all of the wonderful recipes that she gave me. I try to bake something with my daughter twice a month and take lots of pictures. It is great bonding time with her and it gives me a chance to show my grandmother that I appreciate the gift of her recipes. My grandmother lives in another state so it is also a chance to show her how much my daughter grows and changes over the year. Click here to see pictures of samples. Here are a few more ideas. I will add sample pages as soon as I can. A Gift For Family If you come from a big family like I do, a wonderful gift for your brothers and sisters is to create a family scrapbook with all of mom's favorite recipes. Having family photos in the books is also fun and can help you reminisce about "the good old days!"
Bridal Shower Idea A great idea that my mom shared with me is to have a recipe themed bridal shower. Have each guest bring their favorite recipe with them to the shower and as they put their recipe onto the scrapbooking paper have them share their favorite memory of that recipe. I would recommend the 8 x 8-inch sheets for this one. Leave a blank page next to each recipe so that they can put in photos, notes, etc. next to each recipe. That way it is not only a great bridal shower gift but it can also become a family heirloom that can be passed on to children.
Wedding Gift Put together all of the favorite family recipes, put them in a scrapbook with pictures of how the final product should look, and give it as a wedding gift.
College Graduation/Moving Away From Home Gift Whenever your young ones decide to leave the nest, giving them a recipe scrapbook with all of their favorite recipes (along with fun family photos) is a great gift.
