The crisp, cool weather of fall brings up warm memories of hot cocoa, apple cider and my mom’s oh-so-delicious apple crisp. Apples here are coming into season, with their crisp crunch and juicy delightfulness, and their always-perfect sweetness in a good batch of apple crisp. This recipe has been a fall favorite of mine for as long as I can remember. The smell of warm apples and cinnamon always conjures up thoughts of this deliciously crunchy apple treat. 3 to 4 apples, peeled, cored and sliced |
Combine apples, sugar and cinnamon together in a bowl. Put in an 8 x 8-inch pan. Mix together all crust ingredients until crumbly. Sprinkle crust mixture over apple mixture. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 to 45 minutes.
